Prepare the shots of espresso coffee (unsweetened) and transfer them in a deep plate or small bowl. Add some water to reach 2 cups of volume and let it cool down.

Transfer the Gelato or ice cream out of the freezer and let it soften a little, keeping in mind that you will need to work quickly during the following steps, to keep the Gelato from melting too much.

Quickly dip the Ladyfingers (Savoiardi) in the cold coffee and lay them in a single layer on a large pan (11x8). Don't dip the Lacdyfingers in the coffee for too long or they will melt.

Cover the ladyfingers with a layer of vanilla gelato (or ice cream). Level this layer with the help of a spoon.

Lay a second layer of coffee-dipped ladyfinger cookies followed by an additional layer of vanilla gelato. This is your final ice cream layer, so level it very well with a spoon.

Transfer in the freezer the frozen gelato tiramisu and keep cold.

Right before serving this delicious frozen dessert, cover the top of the gelato tiramisu with sifted unsweetened cocoa powder.

Tips:

Serve this gelato dessert on previously chilled dishes to keep the ice cream from melting too quickly.

You can also prepare this frozen tiramisu in single serving bowls ready to be served.

If you want, you can add a teaspoon of brandy liqueur into the coffee for additional flavor.

Instead of espresso and water you can use regular strong drip coffee.

If you like, you can add chocolate flakes or cocoa powder inside the dessert between the gelato and ladyfinger layers.

Instead of vanilla gelato try this recipe with frozen yogurt.
