In the meantime, cut the bell peppers in pieces about 1 1/2 inches wide.
For a colorful display, use colored umbrella skewers, they are available in almost every store. Open the umbrellas and skew a piece of a previously boiled frankfurter.
Lay the arugula to fully cover the bottom of a serving tray.
Pin the umbrellas with the franks into each bell pepper piece. Carefully place these bites in the tray so that they stand still.
This easy and colorful finger-food dish is ready to be served and enjoyed.
Tips:
Create different kinds of umbrella appetizers using the ingredients you like the most such as cheese, black olives or mushrooms.
If prepared ahead of time, keep the trays in the refrigerator and transfer to room temperature no more than one hour before serving them.
